3rd International Workshop on Complexity and Philosophy

Event Location and Accomodation

The event takes place in Stellenbosch itself, which is a small, at least walkable town. The university has campuses elsewhere, but we are just off-campus in Stellenbosch itself, at the Stellenbosch Institute for Advanced Study in the area called Mostertsdrift.

STIAS has a website at http://academic.sun.ac.za/stias/index.html.  Here one can find info about the conference venue and how to get there.

The airport is more or less halfway between Cape Town and Stellenbosch, about 40 km from Stellenbosch. There is no public transport that visitors should use. Shuttle services are available at reasonable prices. African Wonder Tours is a very reliable shuttle service and their e-mail address is:  info@africanwonder.co.za

Maria Mouton will handle bookings for accommodation (a list of accomodation within walking distance of STIAS is available here). Delegates can contact her on her e-mail (mmouton@sun.ac.za). Please do not wait too long before doing so. Guesthouses can be quite full in summer. (The weather in February should be dry and hot to very hot.) Maria will also help with coordinating transport from the airport. People should let her know when they arrive. The cost of transport and accommodation is to be covered by each participant. They will also have to make their own flight arrangements. Please note that flights to Cape Town are often full so please do not leave it too long before booking.

If you have any questions concerning travel and accomdation then please contact Maria (mmouton@sun.ac.za), and if you have questions concerning the event itself then please contact Kurt (kurt@isce.edu).

A Note for Paper Contributors

An ISBN-reference pre-proceedings is being published by ISCE Publishing. A copy of this will be provided to each participant, the cost of which is included in the event registration fees. Further copies will also be available through the publisher.

To be certain of having your paper contribution included in the pre-proceedings then please be sure to submit it before the end of November. To be included in the pre-proceedings you must also have paid your event registration fees in full by this time. Payment of registration fees can be done online here, or a PDF form can be downloaded from here and mailed/faxed/emailed.

The event will run approximately from 9am to 5pm on each day.

See you soon!
